Hello again internet strangers,

Don't be fooled by the title of this post: this is going to be some serious and deep stuff (and hopefully not lame).

Sorry for not updating my other posts and follow the right order of things but today I felt like writing about something else.

So here I am, 11:35 pm, scrolling through twitter after an exhausting day at work, as one does right? Unfortunately or fortunately enough I came across a picture and I ended up thinking about life. Not just "thinking about life", but actually putting some thought into it.

So here it is:

I saw this picture and I realized I don't want this for my life. I don't want to be in " countdown mode" because some day the countdown will be over and I'll have nothing to look back to and have one of those moments where I say "Hell yeah! Those were the days!"

This being said I'll try to encourage myself by encouraging you, online people. And this is where the "Y.O.L.O. Theory" comes along, I'm not using this as an excuse to do something stupid like jumping off a cliff just cause. I'm using its literal meaning: You only live once, like for real, you only get one chance to do something great with your existence and I'm a firm believer that people should do whatever they can to achieve their goals and live a happy full filled life.

So don't wait for something great to knock at your door: make it happen. I know its easier said then done, but I'm not saying you have to do it overnight, do something new every day, find a new motivation everyday and do whatever it takes to make you feel like you're living life to the fullest (unless that's unethical or illegal, then I suggest you find something  better to aim for, you know?)

That's all I want for life: to be genuinely happy and not have to wait for something exciting to happen to me. I want to be responsible for those things, those great things that I'll hopefully achieve someday.

I hope you could take some good advice from this post and I hope you make some changes for the better in your life like I'm going to try to do!

Yeah, be happy because "Yolo" or whatever the cool kids say these days.

Hello again!

It's about time I tell you about my trip to Disneyland, however if you haven't read my post about my Paris tour and you think you might enjoy it just click here
(Spoiler alert: I got lost...Besides that, I was just the weird human being that I am but on a completely new location!)

So after our first day in France we went to the most magical place on Earth: Disneyland (or maybe it's Disneyworld? Perhaps I'll have to check that out one day...)



Being the sixteen-year-old girl I was at the time I think I was way too excited to visit a park mostly made for kids to enjoy... As we got in, the first thing I saw was the Disneyland hotel and let me tell you, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity (overreacting much there, Eva?) and, of course I was going to make the whole family stop so I could take pictures of it!







See the carrousel on the picture above? So there I was, taking all the pictures that I could to remember this day (and also to make sure it was not just a dream) and my mom decides that we should wait on a humongous line to ride on it (yes, my mom made us do it, no, I'm not trying to blame this on her, carousels are just not my thing).

Needless to say we got some funny looks from the other people waiting since the majority of them were parents with their kids, but there we were, three adults and a teenager (my cousin) waiting to ride a carousel (and yes I just considered myself an adult).
All in all, the ride was not that bad however I thought it was a bit short.

Before you start judging me because this post is not the continuation of my throwback of my trip to Paris please note that I have a reason: Theo James, Theo James made me do this post.

Well, not just Theo James but he helped a lot...

If you don't know what I'm talking about (where have you been?!), Insurgent is the second movie of the Divergent series. In case you still have no idea what Divergent is please take a look at the following trailer and book synopsis:




Pretty cool, right?

So I saw Insurgent yesterday and it was absolutely amazing! In my opinion is one of the best movies I've ever seen. And being the bookaholic that I am I already knew how the movie would go, or so I thought because the movie is absolutely surprising! If you haven't read the books yet but you're thinking about watching the movies please read the books first, trust me, its worth it! And if you already read the book and you're going to watch Insurgent brace yourself for some surprises!

I mean, this movie! It's so breathtaking and surprising! I loved every single minute of it!

And here's a little bonus about my experience:

1. Being at the entrance just in time to buy the tickets to the movie and the session is sold out. This resulted on me wondering around at the mall until the movie started (It started at 00.15, please bear in mind that every single shop closes at 11.00 pm...Lucky me!)
2. Almost missing the beginning of the movie due to the amount of people lining up to watch The Fast and The Furious 7...
3. Ok, this one really made me want to murder someone: When there's an intense scene with a close up to Theo James face and people start commenting! IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO MURDER YOU BETTER BE QUIET OR STAY HOME!
4. The funny guy that pretends to be sleeping during the beginning of the movie by making snoring noises really loud! I just couldn't...

Hello dear Internet People! 

While I was going through some old pictures, I came across the photos from my trip to Paris so I thought I would do a little throwback and maybe gather some courage to face the upcoming months of school.

(Spoiler alert: this is going to be a long post.)

On the summer of 2014 I managed to find a part-time job in the village where I live and I gathered some money so my mom and I decided to visit our relatives in France and maybe go to Disneyland.

We bought the plane tickets and on September 26th we flew to France.
The plane ride was actually pretty  good (we had no crying babies on our flight!) and we entertained ourselves by watching the Divergent movie (wich I loooved, despite having already seen it a couple times... ).


When we got to the airport in France I was really overwhelmed because of the huge amount of people and their different cultures, the huge size of the actual airport and OMG the free Wi-Fi! The fact that I had been deprived of Internet access for almost three hours made me appreciate this gift from heaven even more!
 (In case you're wondering why I didn't use the Internet in the Portuguese airport here's why: IT'S ONLY FREE FOR HALF AN HOUR! AND I SPENT MOST OF THE TIME TRYING TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO BE ABLE TO FREAKIN' USE IT! THIS IS NOT OK! I MEAN WE HAVE FREE INTERNET ON THE BUSES BUT NOT IN THE AIRPORTS?! *inhales* *exhales* Ok I'm good...)




After leaving the airport we got in a bus and went to Paris, since our relatives were coming to pick us up at the end of the day, we could enjoy the rest of it and visit some popular monuments.

The bus stopped right by the Arc de Triomphe so we decided to take some pictures,  however, we didn't cross the road to see it up close because a) it was full of armed men guarding the monument because of the recent terrorist acts and my mom was afraid to go and b) we couldn't find the underground stairs to get to it... I have no excuse for this...

After the initial shock of how big, well designed and beautiful  the tower is I only had one thing on my mind: I wanted to climb to the top! Despite the tickets being a bit pricey, (about 15€ per adult, know more here) I managed to convince my mom to come.
However, if you're thinking of ever going to the top of the Eiffel Tower bear in mind that you'll have to face various hours of lines. In our case, we spent three hours in total between the several levels until we got to the top. It's a very exhausting wait particularly on the higher floors because the lines get tighter due to the lack of space and people get grumpy (and you are not allowed to slap anyone because they are being stupid or because their kids are screaming, you'll want to, but you can't).

In my modest opinion the huuuuge wait is totally worth it because you will be able to see Paris a completely different way which normally isn't possible (unless you're a millionaire who owns a helicopter) and it's so amazing!

As we came back down (wich was waaaaaaay faster) I was hungry again (stop judging me, I'm not used to exercising, I needed food) and I bought a slice of something I can't describe but it was something between a pizza and a sandwich and I loved it (surprise, surprise). After that, we bought some souvenirs and we were waiting for my relatives to pick us up and the tower lit up! Now, I knew the tower had lights but I thought it only did so on special occasions but turns out me going to France is a quite special occasion! (Just kidding, it lights up every day...)

Today I decided to do something a little bit different from what I usually do and review a book I have read a couple times now.
Before I head to the book review I would like to present you the app I use to read online. If you like to read as much as I do but still haven't found the ideal tool to do it today is your lucky day!

(Please note that I'm not being rewarded for promoting the app, I decided to talk about it because is something I consider good and use on a daily basis. The text showed next contains my honest opinion.) 

I found ISSUU while I was browsing the Google Play Store, looking for something to do. When I first came across the app I though  it only contained online magazines mostly because of its slogan: "ISSUU, a world of magazines."

The book review: Hush, Hush. 

“Hush, Hush” is the first book of a serie composed by four (Hush, hush; Crescendo; Silence and Finale).


I've tried to read this serie a lot of times, but school and my everyday life (I actually have one actually, sometimes) kept me from finishing it, so while I'm on vacation I decided to reread the first two books and finish reading this amazing set.

The main character, Nora, falls in love with the mysterious and apparently dangerous Patch, who is not a mother's dream, let's just put it this way...

(SPOILER ALERT: Patch is smokin' hot! Ok sorry, back to the review...)

Nora and Patch first met in a biology class when the teacher forced them to sit together. Soon, Nora finds out that Patch is not a regular guy and with help from her friend Vee (which is one of the best characters, just saying) they manage to sneak into the room where the students files are kept and Nora gets face to face with a full blank file... Weird? Very.

Nora finds herself mysteriously attracted to Patch and quickly falls in love with him.

Together, they will embark in an amazing journey, facing a lot of enemies along the way. And most important, how will Nora react when she finds out about Patch's little secret?

I'm trying to keep the post spoiler free because I really think this a book worth reading and I hope you enjoy it has much as I did! All in all, the book was amazing, it's really well written,  I read it in two days and I really recommend it!

Since my last post about my Lisbon trip with all my pictures was so well received I thought I'd make another one with some of my photos, and to do exactly that I spent half of my lunch break at the park.

Now,  because we don't have a gym at our school teachers use the one at the park to torture us on our two 90 minutes classes we have every week. (Can you feel my pain trough my post? Because it's there.)

Me and my friends were lucky today because normally there's a lady at the gate that always screams: "HEY HEY HEY LADY'S! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING?!"  (and then she does this [not] adorable thing like Consuela from family guy and goes "No... No... No classes Now... You can't go... No... No...).

She does this because most of the guys that go to the park do it so they can smoke their suspect cigarettes... So luckily today she wasn't there and the men guarding the gate was just like 'Meh' and he let us in.

This is one of the prettiest parks I've ever been to and it has a gym (a paid one with machines, not the one where they make us run), a little stadium (honestly I don't know how those things are called because come on,  do I look like a sporty person? Anyways you'll see it on the pics.), a huge green area with a play area for kids, a cozy cafe, and a place where they keep some deers. Unfortunately, I was not able to photograph the deers because they were all sleeping in the middle of their cage (?).

So I'm gonna shut up now because I wrote a lot today and I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
